Do it! We need this in the city, and it will help city teams to develop/improve high school hockey teams without driving to Harmarville!

what a great use of the space! In the summer it could be a roller rink or maybe with pipes it could be year round!!

This would be a huge addition to the East End.

I think , as a resident of the area, we do not need any more apt. buildings. A recreational place like a skating rink or a climbing wall or some other such place would be a much better addition to the neighborhood and surrounding community.

It would be a great amenity for the city and seems least disruptive to the building's structure.

I support the ice rink proposal for the following reasons: 1. It would enhance the community and quality of life for the residents 2. It is unique to have an ice skating rink in an urban environment. 3. I am against the other proposals. We definitely don't need more apartment buidlings that actually detract from the sense of community in Shadyside as they appeal to transients (students/ residents) and will contribute to more transciency in the community. Tax payers are whom we should appeal to as the city of Pittsburgh is poor and the neighbors looks terrible as a result. Ee currently have multiple massive appartment building being constructed in East Liberty. The developers are trying to decinstruct Shadyside and East Liberty as a community of permanent residents. There is no benefit to residents to adding another massive apartment building by walnut capital who does not contributebto the community in any way.

An indoor ice rink arena would be wonderful as long as it's affordable for all to use.

Recreational facilities are a must for this neighborhood. It'll help the community come together and interact with each other more effectively.

recreational facilities help build communities....there are plenty of housing units available but residents need places to hang out and have fun together

It is my belief that such a facility would expand the possibilities for city residence access to winter sports. Residence inclusive of college students so as to make the city more attractive.

Pittsburgh does not a single year-round ice rink within city limits. Converting Hunt Armory in Shadyside into a community center with an ice rink will enhance the quality of life for the city residents, particularly for families.
