The city council confirmed this morning that the dirt bike track for Lincoln Park will move forward as planned. This project reflects our shared commitment to creating healthy spaces for children to grow and play. I look forward to seeing the first riders out on the trails.

In this day and age children are constantly being told to spend less time on screens and to get off their devices. If we had a purpose built bike track in Lincoln Park this would allow us to spend more time out in the open air and spaces doing things that kids should be doing!

The feedback I have received from neighborhood families highlights how much our community values accessible outdoor spaces for children to grow and learn. I am currently reaching out to local planning committees to discuss how we might integrate a bike track into the existing landscape of Lincoln Park.

Reaching this level of participation shows that our community truly values accessible outdoor space for our children. It is encouraging to see how many people believe that a dedicated bike track is a vital addition to Lincoln Park. This momentum suggests that our neighborhood is ready to prioritize active play over time spent indoors.

My boys are always bored and end up on the ps4 all day. This would be a perfect way to burn off some energy.

I think that Lincoln park really needs a bike track because there is so much space that is not used there. If council ruins our jump u have to make us a bike track otherwise we keep on making jumps

Thus park would be great and help get kids off their devices. We need more encouragement of healthy living promoted for our kids.
