The Pinellas County school board finally stopped ignoring us and approved boys indoor volleyball. It is a massive victory against a system that refused to provide equal opportunities for these athletes. Now we need to watch them closely to ensure they actually follow through on implementation.

Final supporters
In 2013/14 Over 200 boys played indoor volleyball in Pinellas County Middle Schools but when they get to High School there is no boys indoor volleyball teams to play on.
Support Equal rights for boys and girls in High School Sports in Florida.
Last season in only 150 high schools in the State of Florida only 2,225 boys played indoor volleyball but not in Pinellas County, Florida. Last season in 650 high schools in the State of Florida over 14,500 girls played indoor volleyball according to participation stats recorded by the FHSAA. We need your support! Sign this petition to bring Boys indoor volleyball to Pinellas County, Florida High schools. Thank you.

The momentum behind this push proves that Pinellas County residents are sick of being ignored by school administrators. These kids deserve the same opportunities available elsewhere in Florida and we are finally forcing the district to pay attention.

We need a solution for Title 9. Boys are eligible to play in middle school - Find Passion for the sport, and then can't play again until college. However chances of playing competitively in college greatly decrease when there is no high school program. These children could be potential scholarship recipients and attend college on scholarships. With out High School Volleyball in the middle this is not a possibility.
I think we should have boys volley ball in High school my son played all three years in middle school and loves it. I think we need to find a solution to the title 9 problem and let boys play volley ball in high school.
Boys volleyball in Pinellas would create more opportunities for those that participate.
There is a lot of talent in this area and boys' volleyball in the Bay Area needs to be brought up to the high school level as other counties have done in FL
Indoor High School Boys Volleyball needs to come to Pinellas County and Hillsborough.
Lets go boys!

My son loves volleyball and there's NOWHERE for him to play!!! Get boys volleyball NOW PLEASE!
