I am a big supporter of rail trails in general and am very excited about the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. I have been eagerly awaiting the completion of the rail trail since the beginning of phase 1. Every mile of the BFRT that is completed adds to the significance of the trail as a significant recreational opportunity in addition to providing an alternative means of transport other than cars. It's a benefit to the communities that it passes through and increase the inter-connectivity of the trail system in the greater Boston area.

Rail trails are an important recreational resource and provide cyclists in particular with a safer travel option. By providing these safer travel alternatives, we can reduce the amount of traffic on our roads.

Rail trails are a great benefit to community members, are cheap to maintain and they produce no negative side effects. A total win-win

I can't wait for 2D to become a reality. We live within a mile of Phase 1 and have loved it. We walk and bike it regularly. I'm so lucky to have 1 near me and can't wait to be able to bike further with my kids safely.

Continued support for the development of the BFRT should truly be a no-brainer. This is a premiere resource in constant use by everyone from our very youngest to our senior citizens. It provides a safe, scenic and tranquil experience throughout the year and I can testify that it has improved the quality of my life dramatically since it's been open.

My children grew up about a quarter mile from the Rail Trail path in Sudbury. I remember telling them when they learned to ride their bikes they could take the Rail Trail to downtown Sudbury. But now they are driving cars and out of college -- How long do we need to wait for this to happen??

We all know that more bike infrastructure is both needed and wanted by a large portion of residents statewide. Let's get it done.

The current trail is in constant use by all ages. Please extend the scope so we can travel even farther, car-free.

Phase 2D is a critical link between a very popular N-S rail trail and a key east-west link that will soon be developed. This is a unique opportunity to create recreational possibilities for many more people in eastern Massachusetts. Based on numerous votes, the town of Sudbury enthusiastically supports rapid completion of this project.

The BFRT is a wonderful space for adventure and cycling. It is a beautiful asset that connects communities, and the ongoing buildout of the ACTON/CONCORD section, along with building the Sudbury section will create a path of incredible access and safety. I strongly support the work to get this trail completed.

Bruce Freeman Rail Trail is a great resource. It would be great to extend through Concord and Sudbury.
