Hackney council's plans are a disgraceful pandering to greedy landlords. Argun is an invaluable local business and the staff are knowledgable and always really welcoming, even when it's busy. This is unacceptable move to gentrify Hackney even more. Argun has a right to stay!

Local businesses with history in the area are far more important than private equity investment!

I have been living round the corner (E8 1EN) since just before Argun opened, and have been going here regularly ever since. It is an essential service in a town centre which is otherwise not served by any stationery or reprographic services. The staff are really knowledgeable about their stock, and the technical advice and printing services at the back are really well run - amazingly helpful, fast and efficient - and the quality of the prints is excellent. And somehow they all manage to be friendly even when the shop is at its busiest. There are precious few independent shops and services in Hackney as it gets taken over by chains and some shops remain empty. The landlords should be proud to have such popular and indispensable tenants and this shop must NOT be allowed to close.

This store is part of the community and essential. As a writer, there’s no other store I’d rather go to. We need Argun. Always and forever. Not another Gails or coffee shop. Enough is enough.

This shop has an invaluable range of products and its closure would be a great loss to Hackney Central
