It’s a war zone out there and NY’s officers are once again wrongfully under attack by criminals with city officials holding unrealistic expectations over their heads. NY’s heroes are working endless hours, hungry, exhausted, physically hurting, emotionally hurting, mentally hurting, working 12+ hours a day to return just a few hours later to do it again, with no days off, no time to recoup, no time to spend with their loved ones who are a pivotal part in helping them repair from what they see/go through at work and who are also hurting during this time. These conditions make the craziness they are being thrown into to “control” and “deescalate” even more dangerous for them.
Also, let’s keep in mind this has begun during the “end” of a pandemic, where the vast majority of these heroes had to work overtime for that as well and were sick themselves. They weren’t even given any time to recover from the last 3 months, now they’re being given no time to recover from the 12+ hour tours they’re spending in a war, and the unions are still allowing them to be thrown to the wolves under these conditions?! Riots, pandemics, saving lives, and putting themselves in possible danger from the outside world to save and protect others is part of their job description and expectation... war is not, the unhealthy and dangerous way they’re being forced to go to these things is not, nor should it ever be.
Businesses are being destroyed. Innocent people are being hurt. The peaceful protestors are being overshadowed and even injured by the turbulent rioters!!
NY needs The National Guard to be brought in to protect EVERYONE!!! Please sign this petition with that goal in mind!

My husband works 14 hour shifts and comes home exhausted. He just wants to do his job and stay safe. Praying for all of them.
Peaceful protesting is the only way, looting and rioting is a crime! Protect my Bronx!
My nephew is a NYPD officer I want him amd his brothers and sisters in blue to return home safely everyday to their families
Time for new York to have respect for all of it's citizens from their government and stop their war on the public's trust in them. Support law enforcement and have their backs accordingly. NYS/NYC have lost it.
We all just want peace and an opportunity to address the actual root issue here, instead of just reacting to chaos.

Enough is enough. These cops are people too and they have families waiting at home. Sick of seeing our city destroyed while the people in charge look the other way.
