This petition is directed to the Missouri Department of Public Safety, the Mississippi County Commission, and the Mississippi County Courts. As Sheriff, Cory Hutcheson has partnered with the community and other law enforcement agencies to restore trust in the Sheriff’s Office, and has all but eliminated illegal drugs from our communities.
This progress is threatened by allegations of misconduct, including claims first investigated in 2014 but not acted upon until four months into his term as Sheriff. It is imperative for the continued improvement of our County that Sheriff Hutcheson be permitted to retain his POST license pending disposition of these legal issues.
We, the undersigned residents of Mississippi County, Missouri, know Cory Hutcheson to be a man of character, and hereby express our support and desire to retain Cory Hutcheson as our Sheriff.

The media is a joke, trying to make big news!!! Keith Moore is a sore loser, he lost and should accept it, act like a man!! I think this is net picking, and Cory stepped on some toes!!! Some people want drugs and to keep people in their control!! I am proud of Cory and his team! He is doing what other so called sheriffs didn't or didn't want to do!!!!!!
I loved that he was cleaning up the drug situation in this county. It's never been done before to this large degree. Everyone I talked to was excited, and happy about this. It's so sad to think some do not want this to continue.
I am from Mississippi County and been gone for a long while however my family still lives there and I visit frequently. I VERY excited to hear of the great job thus sheriff has been doing in getting the dealers off the streets. The county is infested with them It has been along time coming. Kudos to you Cory and I support you!!!
I work as a dispatcher for Miss Co. I've worked under both the previous sheriff and Cory. Cory has done an outstanding job cleaning up our county and Miss Co is a better work environment than it used to be! Please keep Cory! He still has so much good to do.
He is doing a wonderful job in Mississippi county!! Y'all should be concerned about all the people that weren't getting busted all these years!! Mainly all this because of a Joyce's beauty shop, give me a break! He has busted more people in 3 months than Keith Moore in 5 years! Let the man get back to being sheriff !!!

I don't know much about the situation, but I don't know every time I get on Facebook, I see how he is cleaning that area of drugs. I've never seen any law enforcement officials make as much and impact as he did and will continue to do. He has my support, and hopefully my fellow brothers and sisters as well. This is Shaun A.
