You landed a craft on a comet. They sit at home blogging about how wearing a shirt with females on it is sexist. I think we both know that yh

Hear hear! I think it's an insult to women of science to assume they'd be put off by something as trivial as one man's shirt. Dr Matt: You and your colleagues have made history and have inspired millions, myself included. You have done nothing wrong. Please do not stop being yourself on account of these petty bullies!

Matt. You are awesome. You have done something absolutely amazing. Don't ever forget that you have furthered mankind's space exploration by an enormous degree. Ignore the bullies. Don't let them get you down. It's sad to see that people think that bullying is still acceptable. They are horrible people, pay them no attention. Concentrate on the work you love and shut those haters out. Wishing you all the best.

Don't let a small number of whiners get you down, I'm entirely sure the vast majority of people would join me in thanking you for your work. Humankind is better for having people like you there doing this fantastic work. I hope you and your colleagues will continue to work and enjoy success in this most noble of human endeavors.

Matt - just wanted to add my support and congratulations to yourself and the Rosetta team. In discussions with my family, friends and colleagues NOT ONE was offended by, or objected to your attire. Overwhelming opinion was admiration of your achievements and respect for your enthusiasm and dedication. Personally, I'm rather fed up with being patronised by (usually) overpaid, privileged females with too much time on their hands. Perhaps it's time some of them got a proper job, then they'd have more important things to occupy their time with. They don't represent me or anyone I know. BTW, I quite liked the shirt - very bright. I've a feeling that you may have started a fashion. Your family, friends and colleagues must be so proud of you. Well done!
