Ignore the ignorant claims Matt. You'll be remembered for your contributions to science, keep on truckin'!

For the crowning achievement of a scientist's life's work to be reduced to an argument over his clothing is offensively laughable

I am a scientist, albeit of a significantly lesser nature, but what you have accomplished is astonishing and has not gone unnoticed. If you had your interview in simply your boxers, white socks and sandals it would not decrease my respect and admiration for what you have done... Awesome job, Cheers!

Matt, congratulations on the spectacular achievements of you and your colleagues. The 'controversy' was, sadly, a stinging reminder that people can be incredibly judgemental when it comes to appearance; thank you for so visibly representing scientists & engineers as individuals of all walks of life, especially those of us who don't quite fit the stereotype. For what it's worth, the shirt put a grin on my face.

You worked through a PhD and landing humanity on a comet. As a lady geek, as far as I'm concerned, you've earned the right to wear whatever the hell shirt you want. Consider this a long-distance hug and to not let the bullies tear down your accomplishments. Your victory will last in the history books far longer than their will. =)

Matt, you did nothing wrong by wearing that shirt. You are human and so is everyone else. They may feel that they can push their personal beliefs on you, but you in no way need to apoligize or give in. I'm sorry for immaturity of these modern feminists. I want you to know that the most important part of this message is that you've done something amazing. You've made a leap in science with your fellow scientists. You will provide new knowledge for your peers and for the young future scientists. Great job Matt.

You should not have apologized, you've done NOTHING wrong! I will buy this shirt and wear it with pride! Focus on your success, not on those keyboard warriors writing articles about you, they're nothing compared to what you have achieved!
