Thank you Dr Taylor for wearing that loud shirt! I think you helped science a bunch with your fashion faux pas!

As a woman who studied engineering at university, that shirt was not offensive at all. Bullying someone for a shirt is just nastyness. Shame on them.

If anybody's feeling particularly generous, there's an indiegogo campaign to buy him a nice watch: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/matt-taylor-rosetta-project-scientist#home

It's horrifying that someone is hounded to tears over what they choose to wear. What You were subject to, Mr Taylor, was nothing more than a struggle session. Let it be known that you have the support of any liberal minded individual, Keep up the awesome work, Don't let these neo-puritans get to you.

The media's bullying of you was disgraceful, stand tall, you did nothing wrong.

Don't listen to the small-minded douchebags whining about your shirt. The rest of us appreciate what you and your team have accomplished. Keep up the good work!

I am so tired of this kind of feminists who feel entitled to tell others what to do while doing nothing but looking for reasons to be offended . You achieved really something for humanity. Don't let this professional "offense takers" ruin that for you

It is quite troubling that in this day and age, in which we say "it's what's on the inside that counts", there are people who bully and shame a person because of his completely unoffensive choice of attire, despite the great thing he has achieved. Worse, they will also say their cause is righteous, but it isn't. Matt and the Rosetta team should be remembered in history for taking another step forward in our quest for knowledge and understanding, not for offending some hateful people. Matt cannot be blamed for it, but it's unfortunate he felt he had to apologize, because it only serves to give a little validity to this vocal minority of bigots who want hurt people under the guise of "equality". Anyway, thank you guys for your work, I'm very interested to see everything that will come of it. And please keep wearing whatever you want to.

Speaking as a male feminist, what happened to Dr. Matt Taylor was inconceivable. A great achievement got eclipsed because of the ones who aren't willing to be mature and/or resourceful on the topic of gender issues. My sincere condolences to him, and may he and his team feel proud for taking yet another large step for humanity.
