I wish it would pass. I suffer for chronic pain, I've had 2 back surgeries. I've been in pain management since 2005 and currently take methadone everyday, I would much rather smoke marijuana than take pills

People in Alabama need to do some research and reading on the benefits of Marijuana. Someone almost has to be living in the Nixon era not to have heard about the benefits. How many years has Mr. Waggoner been in office anyway? Way to long in my opinion!

My daughter has epilepsy. Hers is reasonably treatable with anti seizure drugs. I do know several people who's children and also some adults that the anticonvulsant drugs do not help at all in fact make things even worse. So as a mother who watches her 14 year old daughter struggle while on the anticonvulsant drugs I implore you to please think of the children who need this proven method of medicine. They deserve the chance to live quality lives. They are helpless and voiceless to this unnecessary ban on medical marijuana. Speak for the speechless. Bring hope to the hopeless. Fight for those who can not fight for themselves. You have been given a position of power to help We the People, please use it. I am a God fearing christian woman who knows what it means to be a servant. God only gives people positions in power for a season, use your season with Godly wisdom to serve those who need this medicine. Thank you.

I have epilepsy and pills does not stop them but marijuana allows me to have a normal, seizure free life.

I have cancer in my neck, spine, and stomach. I can't take any OTC pain medication for my intravetal spinal chemo headaches, due to my stomach tumor. It would help with my pain and nausea.

I have been living with Ehlers-Danlos, a connective tissue disorder. Under that umbrella, I not only battle chronic pain, easily dislocated joints, and hypotrophic muscles, I endure co-morbidities including severe depression, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, psoriasis, hair loss, degenerative disc disease, arthritis, spinal stenosis, and sciatica. My sister also suffered from several of these issues. She died in December, leaving two young daughters. She was taking over 25 pills a day, all legally prescribed. I am 33 years old and have a beautiful son. He also has Ehlers Danlos. Currently, I swallow up to 18 pills each day. Please - I need the chance to rescue my health from a limiting system. I want the opportunity to return to college again, this time to study genetics. I wish to help my son and others fighting CTDs. The passage of this bill will allow me to safely recover much of my vitality. Please, show us that Freedom is very much alive in Alabama.

We had a good friend die from pancreatic cancer. Access to cannabis oil would have helped her with appetite and pain relief at the end.
