I am so disappointed and horrified that 'therapies' aiming to force young people who identify as transgender to conform to their biological gender still exist in today's world. I am even more disgusted that supposed psychiatric 'professionals' are actively supporting such harmful, discredited, outdated attitudes as those behind conversion 'therapy'. There's no therapy happening with such horrible ideals being behind the treatment clients get in places that advocate for gender conformity! It only causes harm to the people who undergo that outdated mistreatment. Psychiatric practitioners should know better by now!

I feel very strongly that shaming kids into conformity is not helpful. Supporters of Zucker claim his goal is to ask "why," but the truth is, shouldn't we all? At some point, we should trust the child to explore who they are and tell us.
