Children are being affected by Covid even more than last year when there was a mask mandate. And by last year, I mean 3 months ago in the 2020-21 school year. Protect our students, our children and our staff. This is a community issue.

My daughter tested covid+ after one week in school. We did a whole year of RCL and kept her safe in public by following proper safety precautions. Per CDC, TN HD, and SCRHD of all kids within 3-6 feet are masked, exposed kids do not need to quarantine, but if an infected child is not masking all kids withinf 3-6 feet for a certain period of time must quarantine. My child has a right to a safe and equitable public school education, that’s only possible with universal masking.

Masks needed to be worn by everyone. I know its hard to wear a mask all day while at school
Children can be given masks breaks throughout the day. This will help cut down on COVID-19. #maskup

I fully support a requirement for masks to be worn in KCS schools. In such a time as this, we need to be concerned about the safety of our community, and this is one simple and easy step that we can take to help mitigate the spread of Covid.
