Allowing this venue to serve alcohol would be very good for the local arts scene! As it is now there are very few places in Chico, other than Bars, where independent artists can perform with any kind of draw attached.

If the city won't fund arts organizations, especially one that has been the heart of the arts community for more than 30 years, then it should it empower them to be able to make their own way by allowing for this reasonable and appropriate resource to be tapped.

I have witnessed some amazing musical performances at the 1078 Gallery over the years. I still listen to some of the bands I've seen play there, and without the existence of the 1078 Gallery, the music and arts scene in Chico would diminish greatly. Anything to keep the arts culture in Chico alive is well worth it.
