Totally poor decision to place this supermarket at Van Hage's. I thought we had all moved away from siting such large supermarkets out of town.

Please keep Waitrose in Hertford - it is so very handy for people of a certain age. I don't want to travel to Van Hages which is not convenient.

I like the idea of a local shop for people in Hertford. Losing it would be a loss for Traders in a town were coffee shops and Charity Shops have been the downfall of Hertford.

There are many who shop on foot who rely on Waitrose. There is an OAP development very close by and many of those living there use Waitrose regularly. I appreciate being able to shop locally and use Waitrose because I appreciate the high quality of goods and friendly service. The town will surely die without its food shop. Tesco and Sainsbury are not in the town centre and so do not attract custom to local shops. Please consider this impact should Waitrose close.

This high quality town centre store would be an enormous loss to Hertford. It is perfect for people who want a smaller supermarket, and for those shopping on foot.

I'm pretty sure removing Waitrose from Hertford would have a negative affect on all the other retailers in the town centre. I was totally against Sainburys coming to the town partly because there was simply no need for another supermarket in town and now it seems as if they will be pushing waitrose out after all these years of service to the town!

Please leave Waitrose in Hertford town centre, we need to up the profile of Hertford not remove one of the nice food shops there. An additional one at VHs would be good but not instead.

You can get all that you want by parking in Hertford, visiting a number of shops and finishing with a quality supermarket shop at the end. Leave Waitrose where it is and allow a traditional shopping experience.

I don't agree with the relocation of the supermarket. It is the heart of the shopping centre it is currently in.
However, if it remains in Hertford I don't agree that more retail units should be built around it. There are lots of empty retail units in Hertford.
