This unique business is a fantastic tourist amenity. Many visitors are drawn here just to visit Sunset Surf.

It seems crazy that you are having to do this. A lovely place which I would say is an asset to the area.

For once see common sense this would be a great lost to Gwithian and the livelihood of neuromas other businesses.

I first took my family to Gwithian in 1981 and Sunset Surf is a vital resource for holiday makers. The council must put service to the public above petty rules and regulations.

I hope it goes ok. A ridiculous situation.

having enjoyed the facilities of Sun Set Surf for many years. I can't believe this conversation is taking place as I would that though that it was beneficial for the area as it brings in tourism to the local community and beyond, there fore providing job opportunities.

Could jeopordise the popularity of the area if there is no where that provides the facilities these premises do.)

You lot need to read this before saying the planning should be allowed: Gwinear Gwithian Parish Council Comment Date: Fri 17 Oct 2014 The Parish Council object as the application fails to meet the provisions of the draft Gwithian Towans Design Guide for the following reasons:- ' Guiding Principle 4 ' The plot has been excavated and levelled ' Guiding Principle 5 ' Rendered block, brick and concrete have been used extensively to create lower level rooms and some natural materials have not been reinstated ' Guiding Principle 8 ' The building is built up to the boundary ' Guiding Principle 11 ' The decking has been engineered higher than existing boundaries and does not promote neighbourliness. ' Guiding Principle 12 - The addition of a 3rd pitched roof at the E to W adds clutter to the design. The original design had 2 pitched roofs (one E to W and one N-S) and adding an additional E-W pitched roof adds complexity/confusion to the overall design ' Guiding Principle 13 ' It is likely that the overall E-W dimension of the building exceeds 12m ' Whilst the facade of the extended and repaired building is not unpleasing and does not conflict with the aim of preserving the character of the Towans, the high level decking (mounted atop underground rooms excavated into the plot) and extended almost to the front hedge boundary, is intrusive and creates a serious nuisance for neighbouring properties, spoiling their enjoyment of the location ' The major conflict with the DG is the lack of any neighbour consultation and the ongoing legacy of overlooking/loss of privacy and noise nuisance from the decking in front of a busy commercial property Other areas where issues have been raised are:- ' Extra storage opening up onto the side road could cause issues and danger to pedestrians as the grass verge has been removed and the building line brought out narrowing the road ' Over looking issue from the north facing window on the extension needs to be addressed ' Dam

I can see no reason why the application should be rejected

A fantastic venue located in a beautiful area. Myself and my family travel down from London at least twice a year to enjoy the amazing beach and relax nearby. Without Sunset Surf the local area will lose something which is very much needed and appreciated by all those who visit and live in this wonderful place. I fully support the retrospective planning application PA15/05086 and would urge Cornwall Council to do the same.

I support Sunset Surf and approve of the building work that they have done.

I cannot see any valid reason why this this application should be rejected. It is a improvement and fits in well with its surroundings. There is so much local councils could be doing which would be of benefit rather than spending time and money on this. No wonder this country is getting in a mess. and we stay living in the past.

We travel nearly 400 miles to this beautiful part of Cornwall every year and one of the highlights is visiting this wonderful little cafe. It provides a much needed facility for this stretch of beach and the recent building works represent a huge improvement in the overall enjoyment of this area, for surfers and non-surfers alike. It must be protected.

The changes to Sunset Surf have improved and enhanced it, and fit with the locality. Part of its beauty is that it is not a chain, with generic looks. It also happens to be an amazing and friendly place, which encourages me to bring my family to this end of the beach. Please support its application.

Sunset Surf is a wonderful family run cafe loved by many a local and holiday maker. No doubt if it was a hidious chain cafe or corporate metropolis it would have got its planning... Good luck guys, how stressful. Xxx

I see no reason why planning permission cannot be granted to Sunset Surf. It is obviously of great benefit to people both living in and visiting the area. Small business' struggle enough in Cornwall why place this one in jeopardy... there doesn't seem to be any problem with granting permission to allow fields to be filled with ugly solar panels throughout the area.
