Over the past 15 or so years I have seen the cafe, Sunset Surf change with every new owner. With the changes made presently I believe it has enhanced our little community, I can only hope the council can see the improvements that have been made are for the best and wish all at Sunset Surf the best of sucsess for the future.

The sunset surf cafe at Gwithian has changed heaps over the years but so has many of the chalets changing with the times! most of them were local owned now most are second holiday homes for the not so local so why not enjoy the beautiful view out to sea and stop moaning !!

Love the 'new' cafe. Cornwall needs more good places to eat good food and drink good coffee. Job creation is something that's very much needed in a rural, tourism reliant area such as Cornwall.

we need this cafe. It's been here for years and we always go here. Please don't let it shut because of small minded people that uphold bureaucratic red tape!! The improvements are so good and certainly enhance the area.

A great amenity and asset for locals and visitors that should be supported. It has been updated and developed in keeping and sympathetically with the locality. We are regular visitors and will return to use this venue.

Sunset Surf cafe offers an invaluable service to the local Gwithian economy for its customers, suppliers and the wider community. It is typical of local County Councils to reject genuinne planning applications for the need of the community, for which Sunset Surf is one, yet approve planning applications that provide no benefit to local communities that it directly affects.
Whilst I understand that Councils do not want to set a precedent with retrospective planning applications and approve of, surely this is a genuinne application that should be approved, or if not deemed approvable in its present state, the Council should do its upmost to work with Sunset Surf to agree a mutual agreeable solution for the business and the local community.
