I was part of the original and ongoing group of volleyball players who have continually voiced our opinion that the volleyball community (the people who actually use the facilities) perfer more courts rather than other infrastructure additions.

The need for more volleyball courts must be the priority. There isn’t a need for shade structures with all the beautiful surrounding trees that provide natural shade. Our volleyball community is growing exponentially and this is a way that our local officials can support and respond to the requests of their people.

These courts fill up almost every day. Odd hours they sit empty but afternoons evenings and weekends these is need for extra courts.

No structural buildings please. We need more sand volleyball courts because we have a lot of locals and more that want to play and stay healthy

Sunset park is a cornerstone in the Las Vegas beach volleyball community. It is the gold standard facility that all competitive beach volleyball players rely on. Removing it temporarily to construct trivial structures that do not aid the blossoming volleyball culture of Las Vegas is a huge mistake on the county. The resources that will be expended on this project won’t benefit the demographic that feels the most passionate about it. These new structure do nothing to enhance the extremely active beach volleyball community. The county needs to open its ears and be receptive to the community that relies on it service. Building more volleyball courts will ensure more exercise for the community and fellowship! If we learned anything during the pandemic, it’s that we crave human interaction and what better way than to let out some competitive spirit during volleyball! The courts are always jam packed so we definitely need more!

Just build new courts! The courts get packed and the sand needs to be redone. Please just do that it’ll be a lot more worth it for the citizens of vegas. Thank you!
