I live on Watergate Rd. at 9601. We moved here last December because it is a small wonderful community. The neighborhood however can only support so much growth. Trying to put 18 homes on a small acrage of land is greedy. I do not want any of those occupant or visitors parking on Watergate Rd. I like the quietness and low crime as it stand now in this neighborhood. I oppose this Rezoning Petition. Denise Peters

With the overcrowding of these new homes and the proposed light rail line at the other entrance to Sardis Woods, residents would have a difficult time exiting and entering. The proposal is totally not in keeping with the current homes in the area and a very poor plan. I am definitely not in favor.

I will contact every councilman and vote accordingly if this proceeds. Horrible idea. Safety concerns. Not nearly enough access for fire trucks not to mention the actual community this completely disrupts. NO!

This is a hazard of safety and health. People will die on Sardis road North if this development proceeds. No line of sight for drivers in or out of area.
Check the stats. Too many accidents and deaths on this road this year alone.

Lose the 4 houses on Sunnywood and it won’t be that big of a problem. The 4 houses on the blind hill will be very dangerous.

Totally against this. Neighborhood infrastructure won't support it. Build fewer units a provide enough parking.

This is unacceptable use of the land: if you’re going to build such small properties and threaten the neighborhood with overcrowded parking then at least make the houses part of the affordable housing initiative and give some needy families a chance for a better life...not some $300-400K townhouses. There’s plenty of those in Charlotte without overcrowding the land.

Any in-fill construction should be required to service its parking requirements without adversely impacting the surrounding residents. This current building proposal should be rejected by the community and the city council. I admire whoever set this petition up - well done. Dan

Far to many units for allocated acreage. Sunnywood Lane at Sardis Road North to narrow now. Very bad parking schematic. Poor planning. 10 units would be a better fit.
