Hi, this is troop 516 and we would like to create a Dogpark at Sunland Park. We have noticed that the only Dogpark near is in La Crescenta Valley Park. Many people like to have a park nearby. Fortunately, around Sunland Park, there is a very big suburban area. Also there are many places available for a small dog Dogpark and a big dog Dogpark. We would love to get support. Thank you.

The increase in support has moved this project from a local suggestion to a matter of record for the Parks and Recreation board. My team is currently finalizing a formal proposal packet that we will submit to the district office next week.

The dog park in Silverlake has become a wonderful spot to meet and chat with friends! I don't even have a dog and I enjoy seeing it. We need one here!
I had the same thought several years ago. There are many dog owners in the Sunland/Tujunga area and it seems that Sunland Park has room enough to spare a sizeable area set aside for large and small dogs. Thank you.
Our community needs a dog park and I support these young women for seeing the need and for making it their Girl Scout Silver Award Project.
This park is large and under-used. There is more than enough space to add a fenced, off-leash dog recreation area to meet the needs of local residents. Thank you for your activism, Troop 516!
Yes! I always have to drive to La Crescenta to take my dog to a dog park; if we got one here I'd only have to walk one block! And it could only bring improvement to the park & the area to have people with their eyes on the park & actually using it a lot of hours of the day would be a benefit to everybody, dog owners or not!

A Park for our Best Friends is way overdue for this area where there are many Dogs to run and play like the Horses give their owners a ride all around these Hills. Dogs without Horses need a place too!
