We live in the shores full time, 52 units in our neighborhood & only 5 homes have full time locals while every other house is a str. We have lived in this neighborhood for 4 years & have watched STR’s trash our neighborhood & our community. This neighborhood should not be allowed STR’s

Taking away private property rights is unjustifiable.

Stop illegally manipulating the housing market.

Changing regulations for existing homeowners who bought their home before regulations, causes financial harm to homeowners because we depend on this income to pay for our homes.

Governmental regulation of personal property rights is never OK. The free market economy takes care of the marketplace. The unintended consequences remain to be seen. The obvious consequences happening are decreased property values and wait times for STR licenses ranging from 6-21 years. This is a redistribution of wealth done without sharing what the goals are. Decisions have been made without any studies, any basis in the determinations, and no proof that it will accomplish any goals (which aren't defined in the first place). Also, these actions negatively affect property owners who don't always live here and who don't vote here.

The Summit County BOCC were not elected to hand pick the winners and losers in our community. If anything needs regulating, it should be their power to negatively impact Summit County tax payers.

The Summit County BOCC continues on the path to the total erosion of our property rights. These decisions and subsequent actions need to stop and equality restored to all people who own property in Summit County.

The BOCC continues to push an agenda that is inconsistent with equality for homeowners across the County.

I fully support previous rules regarding licensing and regulation of STR, but NOT institution of a cap on total licenses nor a restriction on new licensing.

STR regulations will continue to depreciate home values and remove money from the local economy. Travelers spend thousands of dollars on lift tickets, lodging, restaurants, activities, and goods during a weekend visit. Travelers will still use our outdoor trails and ski mountains, but will not stay overnight, and will not infuse as many dollars here in the local economy at restaurants and Main St businesses. Regulations are not welcome here!

No to STR regulations. Blatant disregard for the property rights of the owners, of which I am one of on Peak 7. Make Vail resorts pay to fix the problem they and the county have caused by not thinking forward, not punish the hard working property owners that bought property without any restrictions on it.

Eliminate STR regulations. At a minimum, redefine Peak 7 Neighborhood as Resort Zone.

We heartily support this petition and wonder why Peak 7 has been discriminated against on STRs. We are located in very close proximity to the ski area and pay more than our fair share of utility costs. The County Commissioner’s have erred greatly on this matter and should make all of Peak 7 a Resort Zone.

The summit county board of commissioners has no business stealing the property rights of homeowners. They are uninformed and blindfolded, throwing random darts, hoping to hit the target with no basis of research or statistical proof for their theories.

We live in Northstar and own property in Peak 7 neighborhood. We are strongly opposed to any regulation around licensing caps.
