FOR THE ATTENTION OF MANCHESTER CITY PETITION RELATING TO THE RESPECTIVE POSITIONS OF CARLOS TEVEZ AND ROBERTO MANCINI (September 28th 2011) We the undersigned would like to present the following petition: As loyal and passionate Manchester City fans, we the undersigned would like to go on record to convey our distress and disappointment caused to the club by the behaviour of Mr Carlos Tevez. Not content with routinely and repeatedly pouring contempt on our club and on the great City of Manchester in general, he has now taken the outrageous decision to refuse to be introduced as a substitute during tonight’s game with Bayern Munich. This would not have been acceptable had we been playing Shamrock Rovers today but the fact that he chose to demonstrate this gross insubordination in the middle of one of our clubs most important games (Bayern Munich no less) in decades takes this behaviour beyond insubordination and into the realms of sabotage. He chose this moment deliberately and it was calculated to incur the maximum publcity and insult for the club and it’s reputation. His contempt knows no bounds. We call upon the powers at be to explore every legal avenue to have this despicable creature removed from our employment and see that the club are compensated for the damage he has wreaked. Our fans have tolerated this person for longer than we should have; we have given him more leeway than he deserved and we have given him riches beyond imagining, thus securing a luxurious lifestyle for the next three generations of Tevez children. And this is how he repays us? We would furthermore like to express our absolute confidence in Roberto Mancini and the way he has dealt with the matter in such a composed, dignified and yet decisive way.
