Access to a quality, affordable, online education should be a priority for all Ohioans. Please remove the harmful language from HB 166.

Amendment must be removed. Students should be allowed to choose from any qualified schools.

WGU has been nothing but great since I enrolled last year. I chose WGU after I had decided to have a career change and become an educator. I am able to work full time, and pursue a degree I am so excited to obtain for a reasonable price. Other alternatives require me to not be able to work as much, wouldn’t allow me to work from home or at my own pace and are extremely expensive. Other alternatives may also take twice as long to completed This would delay the opportunity of me becoming a teacher here in Ohio, which I’m so excited to become.

As an Ohio resident and tax payer, and a two time graduate of WGU, it is absolutely galling to me that the state would even consider pulling approval. WGU offers access to education that would be otherwise inaccessible to most of its students and that should be commended!

I am a student at WGU and I live and work in Ohio. Taking away Ohio education grants and other financial aid would hurt students who are also Ohio residence. These grants are intended for Ohio students to help promote a better economy in Ohio, why would you take that opportunity away from WGU students?

Why have people in poverty by not letting them attend college so they can better their lives. Don't you care about them and their families? Financial aid is crucial to their success hear our cries don't remove it,

Please continue to support those of us that attend WGU and the thousands of future students. Our schooling options in Ohio do not offer the flexibility that this great university does.

If it was not for WGU I would not be able to attend college. As a single mom that works full time and struggles financially it took me years to find a school online that offered affordable, flexible, and education help support & tutoring. I would not be working towards a degree today if it wasn't for WGU.

Why would you want to restrain and restrict someone trying to do better, make better for themselves? Some people have no other option than online higher education. Their term, their pace. These people are motivated. They have the drive. They need a way, dont restrict, enable.

Stay at home moms deserve the same opportunity as other students to pursue/continue our education. Access to Financial Aid is critical for moms who are working a full time job raising our children and not receiving an actual paycheck/salary yet.
