This is absolutely ridiculous. And a violation of every students human right. Since when does anyone think it is an ok thing to restrict access to a place that people must use to handle bodily functions. Our bodies were not meant to be treated that way. This administration needs to do a better job at problem solving. Restriction is not always the most suitable option!

i myself have not been able to use the bathroom until almost the end of the day when my classes are on the first floor which happens 1 time a day, unlike the administration it seems as if the students are the only ones concerned with out learning. leaving to go to the bathroom in the middle of class & walking down to the first floor takes time away from my learning which my parents are paying a lot of money for. I know if a situation that happened a couple days ago where a student got sick & threw up in the hallway & the hallway got closed. Maybe if the bathrooms on the 2nd floor were open at that time the student would be able to go to the bathroom instead of that happening in the hallway, think about that.

We should not be punished for other kids. This is unfair to us who need use of a bathroom and do not want to miss much needed class time.

Let me know how you’re stopping vaping when everyone vapes in the middle of class anyway- not during passing periods because that’s the busiest time in the bathroom. I really don’t want to take time out of my honors and AP classes to go to the bathroom or walk all the way to the first floor to use the bathroom instead of go during passing period so I don’t miss any of class.

my friends who are juniors say that new milford high was so free and as long as you did you work you were an independent person that could USE BATHROOMS but now they say that ever since class of ‘23 came up the school has become a prison with no freedom at all, restricting our human right to a toilet. i understand that people misuse bathrooms for vaping and doing other things that people our age should not be doing, but nobody who follows the rules wants to wait in a line of 3-7 people just to pee after usually climbing down. on the second day of school my teacher was explaining the course and everything we’d be doing this year and he thought i was getting sick thinking about all the work we’d have to do when really i had to pee but couldn’t because we were on the third floor. my friends have endless stories of getting yelled at for the bathroom or not being able to and we’ve been at this school for not even three weeks. this ban needs to be lifted and we need to find a new solution.

No bathroom should ever be unavailable to any student ever. I will stand behind all NMHS students who have been put in this situation. The Administration clearly needs to devise a better way of counteracting this problem.

I strongly disagree with this new rule, and believe that they should be punished with this idea

This is not in the students best interest. Why would an educational policy that could be both very uncomfortable and embarrassing be considered a good idea. Who benefits certainly not the students?

There should be a law against schools banning bathroom policies. It can create damage to kids in the future they can have bladder infections.
