Why would we have to go from the third hall to the first floor to use the bathroom. That only causes more fights and wandering from students

Removing access to bathrooms for anyone much less CHILDREN is absurd. Punish the ones doing wrong, but in no way should anyone’s right to use the restroom be taken away. FYI, This won’t stop the vaping/smoking issue, they’ll just do it elsewhere.

Unlock the bathrooms. There is security already in place, use it.

Maybe staff halls more. Most do not vape so that seems unfair

I am an NMHS alumnus, class of '92. I find this policy misguided and the positioning that this is a response to the complaints of students to be a little disingenuous. When I was in high school, walking into a bathroom and finding cigarette butts in the urinals and the smell of smoke still in the air was never, ever pleasant and was outright disgusting. And I was the class stickler, so it bothered me more than most guys. But I would choose ready access to a less-than-ideal circumstance over some timed borderline prison system version of a bathroom policy that this seems to be. I ask that the administration revisit this position.

As an adult with kidney issues, I really fear for any student with kidney or digestive problems! As a parent, I can’t imagine the problems this could cause our youth!

Another bureaucratic attempt to “solve” a problem with more rules and regulations that only penalizes the law abiding and never address the root of the problem.

I think the school broard needs more supervision on all bathrooms in this High school, although there some students that do not use this type of substance like.
