This is absurd. Students commute to this school. Also having shorter class times leaves out time for full class discussions

I am 1.5 years from graduating, paying for college by working full-time. I would have to drop out if these changes took place.

As a father, student, and worker, this will very seriously affect my ability to provide and spend time with my daughter, pay for daycare, and work. I haven't spoke with a SINGLE student at CSUSM that agree's with this initiative, and the majority of the faculty is also oppposed as I understand. It will be a shame if passed.

we are a COMMUTER school and financiallyrics struggling college students. what about coming to school more days would be beneficial for the students? especially when most of us have part time Jobs

I do not agree with this initiative at all. There are many students like myself who need to work on fridays.

I will be graduating in May but I still will sign because I want to support my fellow cougars! This will impact a lot of people in a negative way even though I understand both sides of the situation. I don't personally work but my peers take fridays to work, I don't commute but my peers communte from far away places. It is fine just how it is now so lets not mess with things.

I have no problems with additional days on campus as long as it does not cost more in tuition fees nor do I think that those decisions regarding our wallets and future should be made without our consent nor knowledge

As a commuter student, which most are, this would be very inconvenient not to mention unnecessary. Shorter class periods are fine with us but by no means should we be responsible to be on campus an extra day. Most of us have inflexible schedules and so adding an extra day would be a nuisance.
