The administration just confirmed they are abandoning the Friday schedule expansion. My inbox is full and my head is spinning but we actually managed to protect our time. Keep watching the campus announcements to make sure they do not try to bring this back later.

The emails pouring into my inbox tell the same story of added stress and financial strain that we all feel about these schedule changes. I am working to get these concerns in front of the people responsible for the plan even if they are not currently listening.

We hit one hundred signatures today. It is exhausting to see how many of us are worried about these schedule changes but I am not stopping now.

The administration is watching these numbers and we need to push past one hundred to show them we are not backing down. This week has been long and exhausting but please forward this link to your classmates so we can hit that mark today.

This change would be very negative for those of us who work, live, and commute outside of San Marcos. Many of us work jobs without flexible schedules and to make this change would be inconsiderate to those students who depend on that money earned to survive as well as give CSUSM our money.
I'm already driving over 12,000 miles to campus per year without having to attend on Fridays. This change would increase my gas and insurance expenses, in addition to making it more difficult to work during the week for income.
I drive to school Monday and Wed for my classes. it's an hr drive not counting traffic . I also work on Fridays in order to pay off my classes. Adding Friday's only for 50 minutes wouldn't benefit the students
This is just a way for the school not to build a building for the purpose of student classes. They'd rather build a reputation first and instead build a Basketball Stadium/Veterans Center/More Dorms/Student Health Center/USU
Today it is almost impossible to work and go to school. Being able to take night classes or cram all my classes in two days has helped me be able to go to school and still work to pay my bills and rent. Otherwise I would have dropped out a long time ago.
This is absurd. Students commute to this school. Also having shorter class times leaves out time for full class discussions
I am 1.5 years from graduating, paying for college by working full-time. I would have to drop out if these changes took place.

I work full time and commute to school. Making me come to school an extra day means one more day that I can't work, and another day I have to pay for more gas. If you wanna start paying for my gas go right ahead and make class MWF!
