Books should be available for diverse population; when a student feels feels marginalized and then can see themselves represented in a book, it may just save their lives.

Education is for all. Education needs to be inclusive, telling the stories of the many, whose voices historically have been denied, rejected, not valued, or forbidden.
To be educated is to know much about many things, people, experiences, and places.

I'm a library teacher in Australia, I'm signing this in solidarity with the educators and students in America, these arcane laws need to be abolished , the books that are being banned need to widely shared, the speak about all the issues that get shut down and swept under the carpet.
