On April 1st 2010 the price of the Student Rider increased to £1.20. It started off at 50p, then increased to £1.00, and now it's increased to £1.20, meaning the average fee for a student to get to Newport and back is £2.40. The Isle of Wight Council has withdrawn certain funding to Southern Vectis and what's 20p each way to a multi-million pound bus company or the Isle of Wight Council? They are going to lose money doing this, as many people are likely to stop using buses to travel to and from Newport. Old People get it free, so why don't we even get it for a pound?!

its getting way too expensive to just get to class. 2.40 a day is ridiculous when you dont have a job and just want to get your education. bring back the pound fare.
