We all need trees even if they don't have branches and leaves. Return it to a thing of beauty

On the entrance to the village - how lovely it would be to show we care about our old trees and heritage. It needs to be carved to reflect our village.

Make it into a work of art. Absolute eyesore if it's left like that.

This was an iconic tree and we should preserve its memory with a suitable sculpture

Unfortunately our beautiful tree has had to come down. 100 years old!! I pass this tree everyday and feel very sad that a piece of Stubbingtons history has had to be cut down!! I'm signing this petition as I would like the remaining part of the trunk which our cllr Chris Has managed to save carved into something beautiful which represents our lovely village

Appalling that it was meddled with at all but a carving would at least keep it there in a artistic form.

We've lost the tree but please give a lasting art work that will enhance our village for many years

I look forward to reading the report of why it was necessary to destroy the tree.

Please make use of this magnificent tree, and let it be carved into something memorable, we can all admire for years to come.

A good idea to have the tree made into a sculpture. There have been sculptures done in the past which have been sucessful.

Something to commemorate the village, like Scott of the Antarctic, who went to school here

Should never cut the tree down in the first place

The tree on Burnt House Lane would look beautiful with carvings given it is such a shame it had to be cut the way it has
