Rev Bledsoe was a man amongst men that gave all that he "had and could" plus some to serve and be of service to both God and all of his people! He provided the city of Fort Wayne, with a lasting legacy of servitude that enriched the lives of every citizen. And, this man did not half step in simply "being there" for the people. It didn't matter if he was in the pulpit, the boardroom, or in the street he never ever gave nothing less than his best and now it is time for the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana "his hometown"to step up and recognize this Man in a manner befitting and/or equal to a summation of his entire life's work, which stretched far beyond the boundaries of our city. Rev. Bledsoe's unwavering sense of brotherly love and human compassion was felt and recognized throughout the state and across this great nation. He was just a Great American, and an Honorable man that tirelessly worked to better the American Way of Life for Every American but especially the children and the undeserved population. Therefore, this petition is to call upon the powers that be in Fort Wayne, Indiana to rename Hanna Street Rev. JW BLEDSOE BLVD. While a memory lane, which is what has been provided, is ok, its simply not enough. We the undersigned seek a unique way to remember a unique individual. Therefore we are requesting that as a lasting legacy to Rev. Bledsoe Hanna Street be renamed Rev. JW Bledsoe Blvd.

Rev Bledsoe helped my family when we had nothing. He was a pillar in this community for real. Rename the street already he deserves it.
