Fee's have hurt the hobby, and the ability to make any extra money. Royalties should be paid to the artist.

The only businesses that bender are the huge radio conglomerates; the pricing is practically insane for small radio companies, who are now running as many commercials as they are music. It's time that the prices are balanced accordingly.

Let's cut to the chase. Corporate radio and SoundExchange, along with the Yes men, aka Copyright Royalty Board have no interest - other than what they did away with 5 years ago; small webcasters rates - in helping any streaming station's business. They made it clear, We Want You Gone! Time to take the gloves off folks.

We are becoming more dependent on internet radio as an art form, freedom of speech, curated content, and seamless stream. These operators often cover the costs out of their own pockets since there is little to no revenue offset. Please don’t overly burden this art form.

25 years of data? How much more info is needed to recognize and stop the sinful greed that is hurting so many others? When so many are labeling the practices of one organization as "unfair," shouldn't the powers that be investigate, expose and bring about change for the benefit of all involved?

Streaming radio stations should not be penalized for growing their audiences but they currently are. The current system is broken and preventing countless broadcasters the opportunity to thrive.

I'm working on starting my own streaming station. Keeping the cost affordable will allow me to grow listeners and get artists the exposure they deserve. It will also allow me to start a different station in the future with a different demographic.

The current rate is ludicrous. It is quite apparent that it was designed and put into place to inhibit competition from Internet radio stations with terrestrial stations by charging a rate that only major corporations can afford. If it were designed to be fair across the board, the rate would be based on the number of listeners. If an Internet station has a few thousand listeners, they should be paying a reasonable rate. As it is, most Internet stations have no where near a thousand listeners per hour. If they did manage to get that number of people listening, the cost is prohibitive to virtually all stations that reach that number.

My son and I have a small streaming station that focuses on a metal core genre and promotes mental health awareness. The audience is growing and my fear is that my teen will hit a point of shutdown if we grow. We are not set up to manage donations because the goal was to build a community of listeners and create awareness, not to drive piles of revenue, for his passion project. I hope you can find a way for Live365 to continue to provide us with an affordable method to stream.
