I have to agree cost of housing is crazy with a minimum wage so low . Worse to come all over the world everything humans need to survive is unavailable for all. We all need to push back enough is enough.

Revitalizing a neighborhood doesn’t always mean tear it down and build high priced condos or homes. Sometimes it’s as simple as selling to the stakeholders in the neighborhood-aka the current residents. Figure out a way to work WITH this lady! As long as she’s growing food for the food banks (even if she does sell some to support the program and herself)-give her long term $1 leases on these vacant lots. All she’s doing is beautifying her neighborhood and taking care of the property. If others see her doing this, they will be inspired to invest in the area too. The best way to heal a community is to work TOGETHER. If you truly want to heal the divide in Louisville, this an almost no cost way to do so. Invest in Kentuckians.

The People who live in the west side have rights to decide on how they want their neighborhood no one has a right to take away things from the people without asking or talking it over with them people still have right and the people we put in the in the White House mayor's office governor's office are supposed to be standing up for the people not the rich so you think about what you're doing when you are trying to force people to do what you think is best for them and not let them make their own decisions God gave you choices just like he gave us it's a choice and where we live how we live and the way we live and nobody have all right to take that away.

Every year, TIFs rob billions nationwide from the public. Locally, TIFs have been an outrageous corporate entitlement- freeing Omni, Yum Arena, etc. from paying taxes, while Metro communities are told "not enough money in the budget"... to fix sidewalks, keep pools repaired and opened, etc. The West End Opportunity Partnership is the latest rendition of a tired old song that has crippled the West End for decades. The sales pitch is the same, the players are the same and their bully methods are the same. What's different is our tolerance for more of the same. After billions have been awarded to "save" West Louisville over the years, look around. The track record of the West End "Opportunists" is plain for all to see. West Louisville deserves far better.

Only People who reside within the area of the TIF should be making decisions about what happens within the area of the TIF. People who used to live in the area should not be making any decisions and neither should people who never lived in the area.
