As a lifelong resident of Louisville, I’m very concerned about the impacts of developer greed on working and poor families; especially in West Louisville. I implore the Mayor and Metro Council to reject TIF.

The petition places a premium on real estate churn to the detriment of residents with incomes below 50% AMI. The resulting property value increases will lead to rent and property tax increases that may force these residents out of their neighborhoods without providing anywhere else for them to live.

This effort was not done with respect for the community and it's unveiling has been shrouded in lies and manipulation. To be presented to our legislative body (for a vote) with so little knowledge and buy-in seems criminal. Beware Louisville, and beware KY.

I obviously meant that Metro Government must listen to citizens who DO not want bad development or over development in our neighborhoods!!! Why is Mayor Fischer letting developers “pay” him to do what ever they want in our neighborhoods?

The West End TIF is a threat to all of us! We can not allow the TIF to be activated. These wealthy developers, nonprofit development corporations, and others mega gentrifiers are coming for our communities and we have the power to fight!
