The residents of the West End must be substantive stakeholders, AND BENEFICIARIES, of the largesse of these efforts

Representation matters - speak to your community members (the ones who will be affected by this) and get their take. Outsiders can provide insight they can't speak for the place they are coming into!

Nothing is given to the West End without there being an underline motive. Never is it to benefit the residents., it is to benefit the greed of Vultures. Why should developers benefit from our Tax dollars & we get displaced??? I knew when the boat ramp was installed, it was not for the current west end residents. Praying GOD will fix this because people have worked to hard to have a home for vultures to remove them from it.

Development in Louisville needs to be driven by the needs of the citizens and neighborhoods and not developers.

TIF’s are handed out like candy at Halloween. Hotels fantasy apartments and the usual developers with their hands out. It’s appalling that the wealthy remain served while urban neighborhoods are underserved.

I support this campaign against the TIF for the West End. It is appalling that these residents cannot be the decision makers.

I believe this TIF should not go further unless and until we enough transparency on its goals, methods, etc., such that everyone can debate its merits and demerits. As it is, we can’t be confident of what’s proposed. Distrust is justified; trust must be earned.

Shame on TIF for funding the wealthy, while stealing from already underfunded schools.

STOP making decisions for communities and START giving them the resources so they can make decisions for themselves. They know the best what they need.

Citizens in affected communities must be involved. How egotistic and dismissive of the government to think they know better than the actual residents this effects. If it weren’t all about money and taking the easy way, they would have no issue including the residents. It proves they are in public service for the wrong reasons.

Seriously, Louisville Metro, have you no solutions that do not involve displacement and gentrification?! The current residents and business-owners of the West End deserve better.
