TIF is nothing more than Urban Renewal. Do not gentrify the West End to make the rich folks richer.

Communities can not improve except by first increasing the wealth of community members that then can increase the value of their properties. The reverse process leads to dispossession and displacement.

This is disgraceful. The fact that Black residents were surreptitiously railroaded to prop up a plan that essentially forces them to fund their own ultimate eviction/displacement is worthy of media attention nationwide.

No TIF has ever protected Black or poor people and this one is no different. As a West End resident I am joining my neighbors to #StopTheTIF.

I dont email. My husband and I worked extremely hard to provide for and save for our children. Why should someone be able to take what we worked for?

We don't need a TIF, we need solutions to keep money and residents in West Louisville and put people in power to improve the communities where they live. We need Black ownership, not gentrification by the same old wealthy powerful developers

I'm a lifelong resident of the Portland neighborhood and I'm against the outrageous gentrification efforts to push poor people out. We have no where else to go. The city has enough homeless, why do you want to create more homeless families.

Invest in the community from within. These property taxes were paid for by already underserved residents and small businesses. Outside investors can use their own resources.

Just more corporate extraction at the expense of our city's most underserved communities.

TIFs transfer wealth from the communities they claim to benefit. Drop them and find ways to invest in instead of extract from these communities. Cut classroom sizes in half and offer higher salaries to attract the best teachers. Base this on demographics.
