We, the undersigned, are opposed to the high-rise development approved for the three hectares of green space surrounding Loretto Academy located atop the bluff adjacent to the Horseshoe Falls. The treed grounds of Loretto frame the falls in nature, a much more fitting backdrop to a natural wonder of the world than an unsightly wall of hotels. The high-rises will cast shadows on the parkland surrounding the falls and the falls itself and may increase the number of rain-like days at Niagara Falls, as has been demonstrated for recent high-rise development.
We urge the Niagara Falls (Ontario) City Council, the provincial Ministries of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the Environment, and Tourism and Culture, and the federal Ministry of the Environment to use all means to stop the high-rise development approved for the grounds of Loretto Academy.

I just checked the count and we are right on the edge of hitting that first hundred which feels so big even though it is just the start of everything. Please grab your phone and send the link to a few people right now because if we get this over the hump today the council will actually have to look at our names instead of just scrolling past.

Dont block the falls. Simple as that.
Money talks again. Dont ruin the view for everyone just to line pockets. Upsetting.
Enough with the construction already. Just let us enjoy the park.
Ridiculous idea. The falls are beautiful enough without some stupid wall blocking the view. Leave it alone.
Keep our natural sites natural!! Why do we always have to build stupid things everywhere.
stop ugly walls which will disfigure such a splendid place!

My school. A historic site and should be saved. Corporations and dollars over rule once more. SHame.
