We the undersigned petition Oak Creek High School and the Oak Creek School Board to keep the High School class schedule the same way that it has always been and not to adopt the suggested proposal to change hours 1,2,3,4,7 and 8 to 50 minutes each and to have each grade level eat at the same time.

We believe the suggested class schedule change would create the following problems:

1. Certain classes, such as band and AP classes, require one hour and 28 minutes of time. These classes are scheduled at lunch and would not be effective with 50 minutes.

2. School programs would also be affected. Some of these programs are: band, football, tennis, yearbook club and cross country.  

3. The Oak Creek Marching band has over 200 students. If they can not meet for an hour and 28 minutes they will have to meet after school two more days per week. Many of the band students are in other activities and sports and this is going to be a problem for them.

If the revised schedule is allowed to pass, it will have a negative impact on students and teachers. If you agree that this is going to be a problem, please sign the petition and share it widely. .
