I see dead rats and opossums all the time in the streets.I live by Dartmouth and Pelham.

The rat problem here is unbelievable you put a trap out and before you close the door they are in it.

The City needs to be like other cities and enforce these damn hillbillies from putting makeshift sheds up without permits and with the proper rat walls under them, they also need to enforce them to pick up after their "pets". What an embarrassment.

We killed 7 rats in the matter of 2 days with snap traps, thankfully theyre no longer digging holes in my backyard but why isnt the city doing anything??? At least the city of dearborn provides traps and bait.

I think it's a great idea for us to get the big brown trash cans. I have had raccoon cats squirrels skunks in my trash all year since I moved here

Been lucky so far. 2 yrs ago we had a couple by the city set traps n cleared out. Have to clean the yard of garbage or dog crap! Don't leave any food for them to get. Wish dearborn height would go to using the garbage cans most city's are using.

Please do something about the rat problem in south Dearborn heights. The ecorce creek runs right across the street from our home and we see them all times of day they come across to the houses around here. They are nasty and carry disease. We do our part in the fight against them but it's just not enough. Please help with this problem

The ordinance people need to crack down more on the residence that leave trash out and garbage all over their properties. They also need to follow up on the residence that they give warnings and ticket to because they just keep on doing the same thing again and that's what brings the rats back. Parts of south Dearborn Hgts is a pigsty and needs to be CLEANED UP ASAP!

I have seen at least one huge rat that has dug a hole in the backyard and another under the sandbox. It is almost the size of my dog. I also have two young children that I am frightened for.

I think it's rediculous that I grew up and lived in North Dearborn Heights for 34 yrs and never seen a rat then I move to south Dearborn heights and see one daily. Start fining people who don't maintain their lawns and fix the problem .

Sure would like to see some type of resolution. I know there is no way to get rid of them all but it is very disheartening not to be able to leave your pet out or children on the swing sets in summer. I don't see them too much in winter unless they have been ran over in street but their foot tracks show in snow. Hopefully some kind of control can be done.
