I live in Kingseat and object to damaging our local environment and agriculture just so a company doesn’t have to purchase minerals it can make at our expense. There isn’t a shortage of these minerals for purchase and therefore this isn’t necessary! I purchased a house in this area for the country views, the quiet life and knowing it’s a safe place. Having lorries passing through and noice pollution nevermind changing the views of some homeowners is terrible! The roads to and from newmachar and Kingseat are already dangerous enough without introducing more big lorries to the area!

It would disrupt life in a peaceful suburb and destroy picturesque scenery.

I live near the proposed site and feel this will have a determental effect on the wild life in the area, there is a nursery close by also by and the quarry could affect the health of the children who attend.

This would disrupt the local community and cause unnecessary noise ,pollution and disruption to roads

The impact on traffic alone on the roads leading to the quarry will be ridiculous with these huge lorries speeding along these narrow roads! A recipe for disaster

Newmachar is only a village not big enough to take a quarry of this size

As a resident of Kingseat, I am against this quarry. I’m sure there are other areas they can look at. I am worried not only about traffic, state of the roads, vibrations and the decrease in value of my home. Wildlife and the fact that houses within Kingseat area are in a conservation area. Please do not let this go ahead! The working hours the owner is proposing is extreme and will cause a great amount of noise to an area that has enjoyed the quietness especially since the bypass has opened.

The narrow roads are totally dangerous and unsuitable for heavy lorries. As a local resident I am appalled that the council would even consider this application as it is harmful to the health of the local residents, it will destroy the wildlife in the area and it will increase the dangers on an already very busy road. Is the council going to allow this to further break and erode the bridges and roads in the area

Too near homes....people have bought their houses in the countryside to get away from noise etc

Disruption due to the amount of extra heavy traffic passing through Newmachar especially as the new school being built in that area and the safety concerns that will arise from that. Also the traffic will Pass over the narrow bridge leading to Kingseat which isn’t built for heavy lorries crossing over it continually.
