Mining, particularly surface mining, is a known major contributor to the release of CO2 into the atmosphere. This is the last type of activity we need anywhere, let alone close to a residential community.

A quarry is definately not required Newmachar and surrounding area will suffer the consequence of wind blown dust and very loud noise of stone crushers and heavy vehicle traffic - this absurd suggestion of requiring another quarry is definately not wanted by the residents of Newmachar -- totally opposed

It would spoil the area terribly so I hope it will not be allowed

Deeply concerned about the health and noise impacts especially so close to Newmachar and the housing and nursery in the Kingseat conservation area. In addition the roads are not suitable for this especially the narrow bridge. This brings no benefit to the local area only to the proposers, for whom there are alternatives already available.

A place of Natural beauty spoiled because of greedy landowners and a company based in Ellon. We locals will not benefit in any way.

This is about profit over what’s right. Our little village is already overgrown and the beauty of the surrounding area is filling up with more and more houses, we don’t need a quarry! This will be detrimental to the environment in this area. The infrastructure is not in place to manage the lorry’s that will be coming in and out of the village at a potentially high rate of speed. The potential for the quarry to later be used as a landfill would also be detrimental to the area once the methane has to be released.

We have an area that is fundamentally a nice place to live, this quarry will affect the quality of life for everyone in the surrounding the quarry with NO perceivable benefits to the area. There has to be a point where the local people have a voice in what happens surrounding where we live.

There is already huge problems with large lorries thundering up/down hillbrae way. This new quarry will greatly increase this, it is a severe danger to the public who walk along this road, drivers pay no attention to to 30 mph limit

No need for another quarry at all. Too much destruction has been done around that area already.

This is not wanted in Newmachar. It is already too busy for traffic and we don’t want our beautiful area being destroyed.

The local country roads are totally inadequate for heavy vehicles.
