This is a petition for the attention of the Lagos State governor.
Lola Talabi-Oni was assaulted by a law enforcement officer recently. Her story is one of millions. This is a common occurrence in Lagos judging from a lot of stories.
If the same individuals we rely on to protect us, assault us, what hope do we have? Who can we depend on? We need the government to stand for democracy. Government of the people, for the people and by the people. Show us the law is relevant. Demonstrate no one is above the law.
Bring Mr Mutiu and his cohorts at the CBD to justice and do this publicly and transparently to set a precedent for assault cases like this.
Simply STOP THE ASSAULT!!
