The airplanes noise pollution is already high over our house. Day and night and sometimes very low flying and horrendous engine roars. This expansion will force us to leave our beloved home and neighborhood. So sad to see beautiful community decline as a result of this.

There are many family homes near this airport. We bought 21 years ago and we’re told no planes after 10pm. All planes were to fly out over the ocean and then turn. Now we have planes flying over us not follow flight patterns. No more planes. No more noise.

The quality of life issues (noise, air polluiton and traffic) is much more important than the convenience of Carlsbad airport expansion. If the airport expands, I expect the value of homes and income rental markets in Carlsbad area will decrease. Property owners will collectively spend many millions on sound abatement, medical bills and therapy sessions. Those with asthma and heart conditions may suffer extreme consequences to the air-pollution, traffic and noise increase.
