The airplane noise levels have increased hugely in 4years. 7am all day long until well after 10pm. Unacceptable. Residents have no privacy from airplane noise. We have NO QUIET TIME …. EVER. Flight school is HUGE contributor; flying low over Heron Bay and Spyglass. Unacceptable. This has to stop!!!!

Airport noise and fuel smells almost unbearable as it is. Helicopter and plane pilots don't adhere to regulations or flight plans. This is not the place for a large airport.

I fully support:
That the McClellan-Palomar Airport be retained in its status as a small aviation airport with NO runway expansion, to protect the safety of the surrounding communities.
That takeoff/landing patterns which minimize noise impact on residential neighborhoods and schools be strictly enforced by the FAA and mandatory quiet hours be implemented between 10pm and 6am.
Preserve the current Carlsbad City Law which protects the health and quality of life of Carlsbad and surrounding communities.

I urge the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors, the FAA and City of Carlsbad retain McClellan-Palomar Airport as a small aviation center in the best interest for quality of life in surrounding areas. Stop runway expansions. Stop unmanned overnight tower and unaccounted flights. Ensure pilots use predetermined flight paths and adherence to elevations on approach.

Palomar airport management and pilots don’t follow the rules and guidelines now. Why would anyone trust them with an expansion?
There is currently no oversight or enforcement of recommended flight paths. Airport management and pilots have a blatant disregard for the rules and have no respect for homeowners, wildlife or community. The airport continues to be a menace and under no circumstances should they be allowed to expand in ANY way.

The pilots do not follow the VNA as most divert and fly over the local homes...thus, cannot support expansion of an existing problem to make it worse!

The level at which they are currently flying planes is outrageous, continuous roaring sound barrier breaking jet noise, skimming over the roof tops all over residential neighborhoods NON STOP and in droves! Takes place EARLY am through LATE pm sometimes till 11-12 PM. This noise pollution is so TOXIC, unbearable and unlivable at the current state, to increase the airport and flights when there already is a huge demand in north county to decrease this, the petition needs to include reducing this escalating horrific nuisance!
