its a disgrace to stop this service as there is not an acceptable public transportation service in place, the council allowed for these developments to go ahead and are going to be receiving more council tax from them an estimated 3500 homes to be built in the Newton farm development and the existing drums award development there is 1800 homes and they can't supply a a school bus!

My little boy should be starting school in next few years so this would be ideal if it still ran. I'm also conscious of the likely increase in traffic (and hence increased danger to kids in the area).

This is a disgrace and cannot be allowed to happen! The sheer danger factor alone should be enough to stop them sending young children over an hours walk in the dark !

totally ridiculous. Putting children at risk is not an acceptable answer to budget cuts - find another way!

My child is already worrying about how he will walk to school if they take the buses off. This should not be causing a 13 year old stress. We need the buses to stay so out children can get to school safely.

I have 2 kids who will be at high school this year and the walk from where I live to high school is not a very safe one.the kids will have to cross quite a few very busy roads on way and it is a very long walk especially in winter.

The safety of the children is paramount as well as their education. Services like this are needed. There are no alternative transport from my area. And only a small country road which is not safe for school children to walk down. Think of the children!

its atrocious that the council have stopped this service without even consulting the parents about possible alternatives. Work with the parents to find a solution and ensure the children can safely get to and from school.

scandalous proposal, with the weather in this country, expecting kids to walk 3 miles to school in a disgrace
