i think it's discusting putting the safety of our children at risk to save money when if they would actually prioritise what was needed instead of wasting it

To expect a child to walk almost 3 miles in all weather and dark morning/nights is not acceptable!

i think it's a bloody disgrace that the council thinks is ok to want over 200 kids to walk to and from school everyday in all weather to put the life of our kids in danger to safe a few pounds

How can you defend this? Innocent children being made to walk to school in cold dark winter mornings and evenings... Change it now

i am disgusted that South Lanarkshire Council expect my teenage daughter to walk over two miles twice a day in rain sleet and snow to school and back in order for her to be safer she would have to walk main roads as I live at all back roads which she will not be walking at 8 am as it is very dangerous as 1 the speed of cars and visibility is poor and 2 would you let a young teenage girl walk a secluded back road at anytime of day or night? South Lanarkshire council may find it ok to put not only my daughter but over 700 children's safety at risk but I tell you now I will not. As for the main routes they are also going to be over run with all these children trying to get to three locally secondary schools which also opens up the argument of safety as we have turf wars so to speak you saw fit to change the school finishing times so the kids finished at different times and didn't fight but you now you think it is acceptable to have them all going to school at the same time in the morning. I am disgusted and wondering what we pay council tax for if the future generation are not getting kept safe dry and happy....

How can you take away the buses without working with the bus and train companies to ensure that their is public transport in place to get the kids to school. For me this isn't all about getting something for free, it is about my children being able to attend school as safely as possible.
