This is what I pay my taxes for. It is ridiculous that the council can even contemplate this without offering an alternative solution. We have subsidised school meals. Why not subsidised travel? Why can't the council come up with a proposal that looks at working in partnership with parents instead of turning their back and washing their hands of the issue?

very worrying to think children have a walk themselves to and from school. too dangerous in this day and age!!!!!

I do not deem it appropriate for a child of 11 years old to walk on their own fir nearly an hour to reach school. The children will reach school exhausted before they begin their studies. Nit all parents drive and lots have younger children to get to primary too. This is going to have huge financial implications to families who are already struggling.

the kid's need these buses it's to far to walk especially in the dark, alot of parents work and rely on these buses to make sure their kids get to school safely.

Stand together and let's stop these proposed ludicrous changes. Anything is possible if we stand united!

the streets are becoming less safer for adults to walk, far less kids. i certainly wouldnt let my child walk 3 miles to and from school on dark winter nights!! safety first.

Don't stop the school bus. It's far too far for our kids to walk and isn't safe

Some schools have no direct bus routes meaning you would need to take 2 public buses to get anywhere near the school my children attend

The route advised by the council is not safe for children to walk. always had a bus service why change now.
