Prevent the stoppage of school bus services to children within 2 miles of schools in South Lanarkshire

My son is still in primary school. but by the time he goes the buses will probably be stopped. well all I'm saying is its ridiculous no Way my son will be walking through any public park were drunks and god knows what is hanging about so therefore if it does happen my son will be finishing school in primary 7 and will not attend high school as I will not alow my son to walk to school or me pay taxes Monday to Friday then what will be the point in me working. I I have said my son will definitely not be at school if the buses get took away.

You call yourselves a council why on earth would you even consider allowing this to be passed we need our children to be safe when going to school this is a disgrace .

It is not safe to let kids walk through the public park to get to school. There are many kids who would be walking alone and that is not safe either. Not only that what about the weather kids would be soaked before they got to school. Children deserve to be safe. Ensure they have buses to and from school.

The whole situation of having to travel from Hamilton to Blantyre is ridiculous and should never have happened. The buses were just a sweetener at the time. Knew they would do this once they felt the initial anger had subsided!!!

If localplanners are willing to grant permissions for large housing schemes and do not ensure the provision of local infrastructure in the form of schools,shops etc then the very least they can do is ensure that a safe and secure transport system is in place

Ridiculous and dangerous to expect our children to walk nearly 6 miles a day to school and back. Especially when it involves walking beside a busy 40 mph road or through an industrial estate!
