Prevent the stoppage of school bus services to children within 2 miles of schools in South Lanarkshire

It's descraceful to even have these proposals come into effect, at a time where we are having extra bins planned, the priority is with our children. This raises the consern in this day and age of children being exposed to predators with such a long walk to school which will enevitably lead to walking through quiet and dark areas at certain times of year. This plan should have been shut down the moment the shameless first councillor suggested it.

i think this is just too far for the safety off our children should come first and not become vunrebale to the the public going to and from school that is 2 miles from there Holmes

I must live about 3.5 miles away from my child's located high school! If their was no school bus she would have to jump 2 buses in areas that are not safe, especially in winter nights when it's dark!!

My son would not be safe walking to and from school in the dark. How many council workers walk that far to work? Especially in the bad weather. Why should our children have to!

This bus service, is vital to some kids, the amount of main roads that these have to endure to get to school alone are frightening and gambling with lives. As a former pupil of a South Lanarkshire School my Son relied on the bus service even thou we had to pay £152 per term as my health prevented me walking Him to school. So please don't stop this service.

stop all council perks and weed out deadwood. Children are vulnerable and not all parents have cars nor afford bus fares.

Absolutely disgusted that they are planning on cutting this vital bus service. I will not let my kids walk to school like this. Outraged! !!

this will be affecting my son in a couple of years, he wont be walking to school from halfway to stonelaw especially in the winter!
