The R.I. DEM has decided that recreational bow hunting is to be allowed this year in Snake Den Park. The bow hunting season extends from September to January. Snake Den Park is surrounded by dozens of homes and Brown Avenue Elementary School. The trails that crisscross the park are a magnet for walkers, hikers, joggers, school and youth groups, mountain bike enthusiasts, dog lovers, photographers and even ( the dreaded and illegal ) ATV's. Please help us reverse this arbitrary decision by DEM bureaucrats and sign the following petition. Thank you!

TOTAL LACK OF COMMON SENSE. Hunt somewhere else away from houses and schools.
I used to hike those trails all the time but now I wont even set foot in there. Why would you allow weapons in such a populated area???
This is ridiculous. People walk their dogs here every single day. My kids play in these woods. Someone is going to get seriously hurt.
